As a kid I loved reading westerns. If memory serves, the Sacketts were high on the list. Later on, thrillers and suspense came along. Elvis and Pike rank high, along with Myron Bolitar and Win, Cotton Malone, Philip Mercer, and of course Pitt and Giordino. There's room for stories about family too, and vast empty space in the middle of flyover country. Reading is a bit like spectating though, after awhile you want to play ball. So here's where I get in the game and off the sideline.

River and Ranch
One of the truisms I agree with is the old basic: 'Write what you know'.
Another is: 'Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery'.
I put them together in delivering my series of books that start with River and Ranch.
